HIDALGO
According to Softwareleverage, Hidalgo is a state in central Mexico. The state is named after Mexican independence leader Miguel Hidalgo. The state borders the states of San Luis Potosi to the north, Veracruz to the north / northeast, Puebla to the east, Tlaxcala and México to the south, and Querétaro to the west. The state capital is Pachuca. In the state is also the city of Tula which is home to the ancient Toltec ruins of the same name.
JALISCO
Jalisco is a state in Mexico. West of Jalisco lies the Pacific Ocean, northwest of the Mexican state of Nayarit, north of Zacatecas, Aguascalientes and San Luis Potosi, east of Guanajuato, and south of Colima and Michoacan.
The capital of Jalisco is Guadalajara. The major cities of Ajijic, Chapala, Guzmán, Juarez, Puerto Vallarta, Tlaquepaque, Tonalá and Zapopan are also located in the state.
Many well-known Mexican icons – including the wide-brimmed Mexican hat Sombrero, charreadas – rodeos, El Jarabe Tapatio-The Mexican Hat Dance and mariachi music ( part 1, part 2 ) and the Mexican brandy tequila – were born here.
TIMELINE:
1542 – Guadalajara is founded in New Spain on February 14.
1600 – The Marquis of Altamira, Don Pedro Sánchez de Tagle, began mass-producing Tequila at the first factory in the area where the state of Jalisco is located today. From 1608, Nueva Galicia began to tax the products.
1986 – FILM: Arnold Schwarzenegger’s new film, Predator, was shot primarily from April, primarily in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, but also Palenque, Chiapas. Along the way, production was put on hold so Schwarzenegger could marry Maria Shriver on April 26 – they held three days of wheat bread days, and then production continued again from May 12. The film premiered in 1987 on June 12 in the United States and November 27 in Denmark.
MICHOACÁN
Michoacán is a state in Mexico. It is bordered on the west by the Mexican states of Colima and Jalisco, on the north by Guanajuato, on the east by the state of Mexico, on the southeast by Guerrero and on the south by the Pacific Ocean.
The capital is called Morelia. The current name is after José María Morelos as a national hero from the Mexican War of Independence.
In Michoacán are also the major cities of Apatzingán, Hidalgo, Jacona, Jiquilpan, La Piedad, Lázaro Cárdenas, Los Reyes, Paracho, Pátzcuaro, Puruándiro, Sahuayo, Uruapan, Zacapú, Zamora and Zitácuaro, in addition to the pre- Colin.
Michoacán produces more avocados than other Mexican states, making it the world’s largest supplier of avocados. Uruapan, is known as the world capital of avocado.
El Rosario is known as the largest sanctuary (reserve), where the butterflies cover about 1500 trees.
MORELOS
Morelos is a state in Mexico. The state shares a border to the north and east with the state of Mexico, to the east Puebla and to the south Guerrero.
The capital is called Cuernavaca. The major cities of Cuautla, Jiutepec and Temixco, as well as the pre-Columbian ruins Xochicalco are also located in the state.
Morelos is named after José María Morelos, one of the heroes of Mexico’s war of independence. National hero Emiliano Zapata came from Morelos.
In Tula, approx. 977-999 a ruler of the same name as the mythological figure Quetzalcoatl (born in Tepoztlan ), who in some later sources is difficult to distinguish from the god. For the Aztecs (ca. 1300-1521), Quetzalcoatl was a cultural hero who ended up emigrating to the east. They considered whether the Spanish conqueror Cortés could be the returning god, but soon abandoned the idea.
NAYARIT
Nayarit is a state in western Mexico. It shares a northern border with Sinaloa, Zacatecas and Durango, to the east and south of Jalisco, while the Pacific Ocean lies to the west. The archipelago of Islas Tres Marias in the Pacific Ocean is part of Nayarit. The capital is called Tepic. The major cities of Acaponeta, Tecuala and Tuxpan are also in the state.
Large parts of the state are lowlands with a network of lakes and rivers. The coast has many good beaches between lagoons and marsh areas. In agriculture, i.a. sugar cane, corn, beans and tobacco; much of Mexico’s marijuana comes from here. The small fishing village of San Blas was an important port during the Spanish colonization.
TIMELINE:
1111 – Aztecs move to the mainland from an island off the coast of Nayarit. They are not well received by the people of central Mexico.
