Panama City
Panama is the capital of the state, as well as the historical, economic and political center of the country. Panama was founded on August 15, 1519. It is believed that it was founded by Pedro Arias de Avila, who is commonly known as Pedrarias Davila. Throughout all stages of the development of the city, trade across the isthmus was of great importance. Literally a few years after its formation, the city became the most important point for sending precious metals to Spain. And in 1671 the city was defeated and burned by the troops of Henry Morgan. 2 years later, in 1673, the city was rebuilt, but only on a different territory not far from the old city. The old city is the most favorite and frequently visited place for tourists. Nowhere else, except in Las Vegas, you will not find so many casinos open 24 hours. Folklore traditions, combined with bright costumes and national and Latin American music, are especially widely represented at the annual noisy and colorful carnivals. Panama City has countless pubs, bars, restaurants and nightclubs that stay open until early morning.
