St Lucia climate
According to pharmacylib, St Lucia is part of the Lesser Antilles archipelago in the Caribbean. That climate of the island of St Lucia is humid tropical, the temperatures fluctuate only slightly over the course of the year. Due to the proximity of the equator, it is relatively hot on St Lucia, but the northeast trade winds soften the heat.
In January the average high temperature in Castries is 27 ° C, the nighttime low temperature is 20 ° C. Between May and October it is a little warmer, in July the average Maximum temperature 29 ° C and drops to 22 ° C at night. The humidity ranges from 76% in February to 83% in November.
On St Lucia it can rain all year round due to the rather high mountains (up to 950 meters). However, most of the precipitation falls in the rainy season between May and August. Annual precipitation ranges from 1,500 mm in lowlands to 3,500 mm in mountain regions. However, even in the hurricane season (June to the end of October) the rains rarely last long, unless a hurricane actually hits the island.
On St Lucia, the individual regions are characterized by different climatic conditions : Cooling winds blow on the coast, which make the high temperatures more bearable, in the rainforest there is always high humidity, on the mountains it is cooler than in the lower areas of the island.
